In Loving Memory of Wayne Carroll

Wayne peacefully left the physical realm on Wednesday, the 27th, at 4:00 p.m., surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Wayne will forever be remembered for his calm and steady demeanor, his selfless nature, his humanitarian spirit, and his unwavering willingness to help others. He had a passion for tactical gear, a deep appreciation for poetry, and a unique ability to bring comfort and perspective to those around him.

Though Wayne has crossed to the other side, the wisdom, compassion, and creativity he shared remain with us. His words continue to speak for him, offering a glimpse into the thoughtful soul he was. One of his poems, titled Love, beautifully reflects his understanding of life’s greatest gift and greatest challenge:

Love

I am no expert, but to me

Love is difficult at best,

And painful no matter what.

Love will never let you rest.

When you love you drop your guard

Or you can’t really be invested

And pain is the natural result

Because we always disappoint and are tested.

Love is an investment in uncertainty.

A purchase we should always cherish.

Whether pleasant or painful it is love.

Without it we would surely perish.

Wayne’s presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the kindness he showed, and the words he leaves behind. May we honor his memory by carrying forward the love, compassion, and humanity that defined his life.

Wayne is survived his children Peter Carroll, David Carroll, Jennifer Carroll, 4 grandchildren, siblings Jim Papolo and Jesse Fonda white, and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He also leaves behind his cherished best friend, Monica Ortiz, whose friendship, loyalty, and presence were a meaningful part of his life.

Though Wayne’s physical presence is gone, he will continue to live on through the memories, stories, and love shared by all who knew him.
