It is with deep sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of our younger brother, Randy. At just three years old,
Randy was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which affected his growth and his ability to live like other children.
His journey was marked by constant hospitalizations, beginning
with his first surgery at age 3 to remove the tumor. Despite the many challenges he faced, he defied the
odds and lived to be 44 years old. Though he was 44,
due to the nature of his disability, he had the spirit and innocence of a 15-year-old.
He found joy in playing video games, but his greatest passion was golf, particularly through
his participation in the Special Olympics. He also loved volunteering every year with Mission of Arlington
Rainbow Express when he could; his newest passion was singing for the Lord.
We kindly ask for your prayers and support, especially for our parents, as we navigate this difficult time
since the unexpected passing of Randy Gonzalez.
Randy is survived by our parents, Lino and Margarita Gutierrez, Brothers, Raul and John, Sisters Cecilia,
Stephanie and Christina, as well as his nephews and neices, Evelardo (EJ) Jr. Bianca, Leticia, Carla,
Cecilia and Joseph as well as many other great neices and nephews.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10.
