Willy Bolosan Madolora

Willy Pastor Bolosan Madolora, Jr. from Arlington, TX passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 77. He passed peacefully in his sleep alongside his loving wife of 40 years, Aurebellafe Belle Madolora.

Willy was born September 29, 1947 in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, the son of Pastor C. Madolora and Presentacion Bolosan.

Willy attended grade school in Manila, before graduating from the University of the Philippines HS. After graduating HS, he studied to get into the Philippine Military Academy where he earned the distinction of qualifying #1on the PMA entrance exams. After attending PMA for one year, Willy left the academy, led by his father, Pastor, to immigrate to Hawaii in 1966.

He attended the University of Hawaii and graduated in1971 with a degree in Civil Engineering. During his time in Hawaii, he worked his way through school as a taxi driver, and he met and married Cynthia Bermudez, with whom he had his first child, daughter Melina Patricia in 1970. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, he moved with his new wife and daughter to Southern California. There he would start his career with Mobil Pipeline, eventually having his second child, son Matthew Phillip in 1973.

In 1976, Willys career would take him to Texas, which would include residence in Dallas and introduction to his first Texas church family at Lakeview Christian Church, presided over by Pastor Sydney Carnes and his wife Ann. The ensuing years would include a divorce from first wife Cynthia, and a move to Corsicana, TX, for work. Through his maintained connection to Pastor Carnes and Lakeview CC, Willy was introduced to the love of his life, Belle. Together, they settled into what would become his new familys home in Arlington, TX. There in Arlington, Willy and Belle would begin their life journey anew with the birth of son Mark Allen in 1985, and the adoption of Belles son Aaron. During these early years of the new family, Willy and Belle would open their home to provide afterschool care/activities for neighboring children that multiplied and broadcasted their love to a growing circle of what would become lifelong extended family.

The love Willy and Belle shared for Syd and Ann Carnes prompted them to follow the Carnes family as their journey took them to Oak Cliff Christian Church, where Willy, Belle and their children continued membership with the Oak Cliff church family beyond Pastor Syds retirement. Willy served in church leadership roles under a succession of pastors up to the present.

Willy worked as a Pipeline Engineer for Mobil for over 25 years before his retirement in 1997. During his time with Mobil, Willy would travel to oversee the operation and maintenance of various pipelines throughout the country under his scope of responsibility. Throughout his travels, he developed a particular fondness for the wilderness and fishing of Alaska as he worked with one of the pipelines there. The fondness Willy held for Alaska during his work years and his dream to return would be rejuvenated when his children planned a full family trip to celebrate his 75th birthday.

Post retirement from Mobil Pipeline, Willy followed his hobby and passion for photography by opening a specialty film/photo development shop in Irving. There one of his key services, passport photos, connected him to opportunities to take on a role as a consultant and advisor to customers seeking passport and immigration support, recognizing his own immigration journey and the fulfillment of the American dream initiated by his own parents.

Willy ultimately found a life of fulfillment serving the church and scores of migrants seeking document support as they immigrated to the United States He was known by many for his kindness, compassion and dedication to serving others.

Willy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tata Julian and Nana Eugenia Bolosan and his parents Pastor C. and Presentacion Precila Madolora.

Willy is survived by his wife, Aurebellafe Belle, his children: daughter Melina Wikoff (husband Mark) and their daughters Kendall and Elena; son Matthew Madolora (wife Lisa); son Aaron Madolora (wife Amy) and their sons AJ, Avander and Arden; and son Mark Madolora (wife Courtney) and their daughter Izzy. Willy is survived also by his own siblings: brother Henry, brother Gremmy, brother Ely, sister Fe and brother Rey and their children/grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, and children respectfully honoring him as Uncle, Papa and Grandpa Willy that are too numerous to count.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, January 16th from 4-5 PM at East Dallas Christian Church, located at 629 N Peak Street, Dallas TX, 75246. Viewing/Visitation will be from 2-4 PM prior to the ceremony, with final Viewing and Reception to be held at the church from 5-6 PM immediately following the service.
